Diana Ouellette
Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Simmons College.
As Lab Manager for the Miller Lab, I handle a variety of tasks for the lab and within the department and institute: Laboratory responsibilities include day-to-day operations; SOP & biohazard safety trainings; lab representative for institutional & national regulatory agencies; clinical and animal care assistance; and IACUC protocol management. Administrative responsibilities include grant submission and award management; financial budgeting; personnel set-up and associated on-going documentation; faculty-support.
The majority of my background consist of material science research (spaceship windows!), molecular biology research (benign tumors), peer-teaching, and community mentorship. Over the years, I developed a fascination for the use of educational technology in science education and the application of cognitive neuroscience theories to educational methodologies.
